We will be having another social get-together at Dive Sports on Tuesday night, April 21. We had a great time at the last one, so we think another is in order. We have no events planned….just an opportunity for all the area divers to get together and chat and have some fun. Terry Briscoe and Phil Hutchins are providing barbeque and chicken and we will get all of the side items and soft drinks. Plan to drop by around 6:00PM on Tuesday and enjoy a little fellowship with you local dive buddies.

We are lucky again this year to have the Madison Quarry available to us for spring and summer diving. Brett has scheduled the first weekend of May as the official opening of the diving season for the quarry. To give a little boost to the local diving, and to allow our area divers to gather and get in that first dive of the year, Brett has allowed us to plan a special Dive Sports Quarry Days spring kick-off event on the weekend before the official opening. This will give us and the local dive community an opportunity to put a few bucks in the till to help Britt meet the financial challenges of the year.
Dive Sports Madison Quarry Spring Kick-Off - April 25, 2009 - $20 Per Person
Dive Sports will have the quarry for the entire day for a fee of only $20 per person. As is customary with all of our local events, Brad and Jonathan will be firing up the grill and likely destroying hundreds of hamburgers and hot dogs . We will also provide other snacks and soft drinks. If you want to register for this event, simply drop by the store or give us a call at (256) 350-1122. Advance registration is required. No entry fees will be accepted at the gate. The fee of $20 is the typical entry fee and the food and drinks won’t cost you a cent!
We hope to have a pretty good crowd for this event, so don’t waste any time…..drop by or give us a call right away and get your name on the list for the Dive Sports Quarry Kick-Off event!

I guess you have noticed, but I have not been making my normal blog posts over the past several weeks. After lots of cat-scans and several MRI’s, I have learned the the severe pain in my left arm and shoulder is the result of spine and disc problems. Unfortunately, the condition has made work on the computer VERY painful. After filling the days online orders, I just can’t force myself to spend the time working on the blog. I am on schedule to get the problem cured, but the pain is still here. Please cut me a little slack if I don’t post as often as I should.
Damn, getting older is no fun.
